FAST ESP To Power Uchida Spectrum

Uchida Spectrum, which offers software license sales and management services, announced today that it would be employing FAST Enterprise Search Platform into SMART/EBP, its e-business architecture.
This marks the first agreement for FAST with an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in Japan. Uchida Spectrum allows customers to collect, process, distribute, and charge for digital content.
The implementation of ESP will enable the retrieval of "the most accurate information from a wide variety of structured and unstructured formats from sources within the enterprise as well as from the Web."
FAST's enterprise search platform also enables Uchida Spectrum to offer its users dynamic drill down and alerting capabilities, as well as the capability to categorize and index search results.
